Version 6 of survey strata for at-sea bird survey. (First version built with 1:20k TRIM coatline.)
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN><SPAN>Assembled using first the applicable sections of the Canada-United States border as delineated by the International Border Commission (IBC) and second extending out to the 200 nm limit as agreed under the United Nations Convention on the Law Of the Sea (UNCLOS)</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Some very small edits were required to connect up the line work from IBC and UNCLOS.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>The shapefile supplied by IBC does not claim large-scale precision (1:62,500, 1:200,000, 1:250,000). Not sure what this means. On previous projects created my own layer from coordinates supplied by IBC. Similarly the boundaries of the EEZ appear to have been based on smaller-scale coatline. The marine boundaris should be sufficiently precise for at-sea surveys.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Linework was traced to form a polygon in this layer, BC_Sea.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>C</SPAN><SPAN>ut polygon with the BC 1:20,000 TRIM coastline</SPAN><SPAN>, </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">BC_TRIM_Land_BCtoOregon</SPAN><SPAN>. So, there should be no slivers when using this with other datasets such as those from the province.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">BC_Sea_TRIM</SPAN><SPAN>polygon split using </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">Strata_Cutlines</SPAN><SPAN>to form the strata polygons here in </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">BC_Sea_TRIM_Survey_Strata</SPAN><SPAN>.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
